Stainless Steel Fabrication Across the North East — 304 & 316 Specialists

MorFabrication is a stainless steel specialist serving the North East of England — Newcastle, Sunderland, Durham, Tees Valley and Northumberland — and the rest of the UK. We work in 304 and 316 grades across thicknesses from 0.9 mm sheet to heavy plate, supplying food and beverage manufacturers, pharmaceutical processors, hospitality fit-outs, marine engineering, and architectural projects regionally and nationwide.

Three things make us different. First, we run stainless steel fabrication and powder coating from one factory. Second, we have deep expertise in bespoke stainless steel conveyor systems. Third, we deliver linished, polished, brushed and bead-blasted finishes to a level you'd normally only see at much bigger specialist shops.

Whether you're a food-industry plant in Tees Valley, a hospitality project in Newcastle, a process engineer in Sunderland, a marine job on the Tyne or Wear, or a national contractor needing a regional supplier with proper capacity — we'd like to quote it.

What we fabricate in stainless steel

Stainless steel conveyor systems

One of our specialisms. We design and build bespoke stainless steel conveyors for food and beverage manufacturing, pharmaceutical handling, and any environment where hygiene matters. Belt types include modular plastic belt, slat-top / tabletop chain, wire mesh, and heavy-duty industrial chain. Built to your product, line layout, wash-down regime and production rate. Read the conveyor systems guide.

Food and pharmaceutical equipment

Tanks, hoppers, mixing vessels, work tables, troughs, equipment guarding, and bespoke process equipment. 316 for chloride or wet-process; 304 for general food contact. TIG welding throughout with weld passivation on critical surfaces.

Hospitality and architectural stainless

Bar tops, servery counters, splashbacks, bespoke kitchen pieces, balustrades, handrails, and architectural signage frames — including the stainless servery counters we manufactured for the Everton Stadium West Stand hospitality fit-out.

Marine and exterior stainless

316L specifications for marine, coastal, and chloride-exposed environments. Linished or polished finish for visible work, brushed or bead-blasted for industrial. North East coastal work plus national jobs by pallet courier.

Stainless access steps and platforms

Custom stairways, platforms, walkways, and access steps for production and industrial environments. Integrated handrails and toeboards to spec.

Mixed-material assemblies

Stainless components on mild-steel frames, powder coated in the same building. One project manager, one programme, one QA — a real efficiency advantage for hospitality and architectural builds.

Frequently asked questions

Do you work in both 304 and 316 stainless?

Yes — both grades plus 316L (low-carbon for high-purity / marine), 430 for decorative, and duplex (2205, 2304) for heavy-duty.

Can you do food-grade hygienic welding?

Yes. TIG with weld backing, crevice-free design, post-weld pickle-and-passivation on critical surfaces. We weld and finish to food-contact specification.

Do you build bespoke stainless steel conveyors?

Yes — modular belt, slat-top chain, wire mesh, and heavy-duty industrial. Built to your line, product, and wash-down regime. We don't sell off-the-shelf conveyors.

What finishes can you supply?

Mill (2B), linished (No.3 / No.4 / Scotchbrite), polished (mirror or satin), brushed, bead-blasted, and pickle-and-passivated. Combination finishes by request.

Where are you based and where do you deliver?

Our workshop is in the North East of England — between Newcastle, Sunderland and Durham — and we collect and deliver across Tyne & Wear, Northumberland, County Durham and Tees Valley. National jobs ship on pallet courier anywhere in the UK.

Can you do mixed-material assemblies (stainless plus mild steel)?

Yes — and we can powder coat the mild-steel parts in the same building. That's a real efficiency advantage for hospitality and architectural builds.

What's your minimum order?

There is no minimum. Single brackets, prototypes, and production batches all welcome.
